Kiwis – Born to Fly 2. Transmission Screening for Sky Sport NZ confirmed

Perspective Group is delighted to announce the first set of screening times for Kiwis – Born to Fly 2 in association with Sky NZ. This is the follow up to the 2023 first edition of Kiwis – Born to Fly (a finalist in the Motorsport NZ Media Awards in 2024 for Best Content) that was set around the greater NTT INDYCAR SERIES.

Instalment 2 features four New Zealand based Motorsport related companies that create, design , manufacture and export to the global stage all while been based in areas across New Zealand and they are seldom given the acknowledgement of what they achieve. Equally employing locally and adding to the countries trade income as well as been market leaders around the world and they stand tall in the Motorsport community.

“I’d like to thank the team at Sky NZ for the support they have given these first two instalments of Kiwis – Born to Fly along with all the supporting partners and outlets for both the original and now the follow up, there’s a lot of people that have enabled this and without them it simply would not of been told and the stories never known.” said producer David Turner.

“It was a great experience to see these companies at the PRI show in Indianapolis in December and hear so many people talk highly of New Zealand. This was just like the first instalment and the praise the many kiwis in that received from everyone around the NTT INDYCAR SERIES proving we have a massive talent pool both on and off track.”

In addition to the screening of Kiwis – Born to Fly 2 there is a limited special encore set of screenings of the original Kiwis- Born to Fly under an agreement with Penske Entertainment and the allowance to do so to celebrate our Kiwis.

The first set of screenings and line up is as follows.*subject to change, check Sky guides:

• 17th February Sky Sport 5 at 1300 and 1930 Kiwis – Born to Fly 1
• 18th February Sky Sport 2 at 1930 Premiere screening of Kiwis – Born to Fly 2Other outlets will also follow and be advised in the next month for Kiwis – Born to Fly 2 with some exciting support to be announced by February.

About Perspective Group. Created in 2009 by former Television New Zealand Senior Motorsport Producer David Turner with the aim of sport and media production at any level. Turners credits have included Event Management and Television roles with Americas Cup campaigns in San Francisco and Bermuda, Head of Production for the Challenger of Record PRADA in New Zealand in 2021. Turner has also held roles with Olympic Broadcasting Services at all Olympic Games both summer and winter since London 2012 and recently Paris 2024. Additionally roles for the Asian Broadcasting Union as a Producer of the multi channel coverage at Commonwealth Games for the past 14 years.

Known in 2023 for Kiwis Born to Fly a branch into the documentary world and profiling New Zealanders. FIFA Films Producer for the Woman’s World Cup Qualifying Tournament in NZ in 2023. Domestically Perspective Group was the official production company for the NZ V8 Super Tourer series that played a part in the career of a young 19 year old Scott McLaughlin and covered the domestic V8 Championship series for many years. It now currently produces multi platform content and coverage for Western Springs Speedway in Auckland New Zealand with programming screening globally as well as on Sky Sport in NZ. Turner also stands on the board of Trustees for the MotorSport New Zealand Elite Academy and Scholarship Trust and has done for the past 15 years aiding the future development of over 160 young athletes within the sport to date.
